Job summary

PetroChina International London (PCIL) seeks a commercially minded Copper Cathodes Trader to manage the global copper trading book from London. You will oversee exposures, P&L and coordinate with risk, operations and treasury.

Based in London, this role offers a hybrid work arrangement (4 days in the office, 1 day from home) and a clear path to expand within a global trading network with long‑term potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical and derivatives copper trading is preferred.
• Track record of generating revenue is advantageous.
• Existing network with copper buyers and traders is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management of the global copper trading book including exposures and P&L.
• Produce daily exposure and position reports using risk and trading tools.
• Assist hedging activities and perform P&L analysis.
• Capture trades, update positions and ensure data integrity in systems.
• Analyze market trends to support informed trading decisions.
• Identify arbitrage opportunities and suggest derivative strategies.
• Coordinate with Risk, Operations, Treasury, Settlement, Legal and KYC for execution.
• Maintain cost accruals and support deal reconciliation.
• Distribute market information with developing commercial insight.
• Execute trades under supervision to develop skills.
