The department of Student Life invites applications for the position of Coordinator, Student Engagement (Student Orgs).

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provides direct management and oversight for 450+ registered student organizations (RSOs) across all Georgia State campuses. Advises student organization officers by developing educational and training programs in support of their organizational needs. The role promotes student engagement beyond the classroom and will be critical to developing students, enhancing learning, building school spirit as well as increasing community and connectivity among students.
- Mentor and assist students interested in starting a new registered student organization throughout the new organization process.
- Manage the online student involvement software, Anthology Engage product. Cultivate, maintain, and grow strategic partnerships with departments, units, colleges and RSOs relative to use of the student involvement software. Facilitate training sessions and creates virtual resources for use of the student involvement software.
- Develop and implement trainings for student organization advisors on university processes and protocols. Create marketing strategies to advertise resources for student organizations. Maintain the student organization website. Organize and implement the fall and spring student involvement fairs.
- Assist the Associate Director, Student Life in establishing the vision and purpose for the open use space provided for RSOs within the Student Center and provide resources for RSOs as appropriate.
- Review special event/late night event registration forms, program plans, contracts for events and discusses event planning and risk management with student organizations as needed.
- Provide support to RSOs and advisors relative to the Student Activity Fee (SAF) process. Manage the budget for student organization support.
- Provide direct supervision of one to two Graduate Administrative Assistants related to registered student organizations and student involvement software and undergraduate student assistants.
- Night and weekend commitments may occur 2-3 times per month during the academic year, less often during the summer months.

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or related degree
