Are you a creative and passionate Cookery Teacher with QTS? Do you enjoy inspiring young minds through food, nutrition, and life skills? Teaching Personnel is working with a vibrant secondary school in Liverpool seeking a qualified Cookery Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time teaching position within the Design & Technology faculty, with a focus on Food Technology/Cookery. You will deliver engaging, practical, and curriculum-based lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, helping them develop confidence and essential life skills through food education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality cookery/food technology lessons that align with the national curriculum
Inspire students with practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge
Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to support pupil development
Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and classroom management
Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular food-related activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience teaching Cookery/Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety standards
A passion for food education and student wellbeing
