Job summary

The Kitchen at Chewton Glen in the New Forest is seeking a Cookery School Technician to assist the chef tutors and guest chefs during daily cookery classes. You will help with demonstrations, support guests and help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment.

Experience in a restaurant and strong guest communication are essential, along with a keen eye for detail and teamwork. This role includes meals on duty and a base salary with tronct plus ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in working in a restaurant.
• Confidence in talking to and serving guests.
• You will have a keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching guests after Chef Tutor or guest chef has demonstrated or given instructions to guests.
• To be confident in partial or full cooking of recipes to be used in cookery demonstrations
• To be intuitive and show integrity in being helpful and courteous, respectful of individual guest needs.
• To take pride in the preparation of workstations and classroom
• Clearing equipment and ingredients away at appropriate times.
• To be fully aware of all hygiene control and chemicals used in the work place.
