We are seeking a skilled individual to support our Catering Team in our residential care home for older people in Preston. This role is ideal for someone with catering experience, especially if you are looking for a side job or a position that allows you to build on your cooking skills and support our team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and serve nutritionally balanced and attractive meals, considering residents' preferences and dietary needs.
  • Observe food hygiene regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Maintain all required records and participate in meetings and training activities.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, taking on tasks to ensure excellent service to residents.
About You
  • You enjoy working with older people and can empathize with their needs.
  • You have a passion for cooking and can prepare food to a good standard.
  • A basic food hygiene certificate or a food-related qualification is an advantage but not essential if you have relevant experience.
Hours

Bank shifts to cover sickness, absence, and holidays.
