Job summary

Bield Housing & Care in Cumbernauld is looking for a Weekend Cook to provide high-quality meals at the Campsie Gardens development. The role focuses on catering for tenants, managing dietary requirements and delivering value for money through a flexible meals service.

The 14-hour weekend post runs Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The successful candidate will work with the team to maintain food hygiene standards and contribute to residents' quality of life.

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? Are you experienced in catering and managing dietary requirements?

The role of a chef/cook within our Campsie Gardens development is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.

Hours of employment

14 hours a week - Saturday and Sundays - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

You will be -

• Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.
• Assisting with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food budget.
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.
