Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook/Experienced Catering Assistant in their Healthcare sector to join our team in Dundee, DD1 1NQ

You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer care to our clients and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

Our client is a Christian Charity whose mission is to meet human needs without discrimination.The site offers a wide range of services to include supporting those with addiction, mental health, homelessness, and individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system.Owing to the unpredictable environment, this role will require a candidate who is strong willed, empathetic, and who accepts people from all walks of life. You will be socially aware and unafraid of working in an environment that can at times be challenging.
What's in it for youThis is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 including some weekend work. Shifts range between 7.30am

A day in the life of a Cook:You will be preparing both hot and cold food, serving breakfast, main meals and desserts in a canteen style environment, within a homeless hostel.You will be serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and always carrying out Food Safety.Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit daily/weekly.Cleaning down areas and ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
You will be set up for success if you have:Relevant cookery/culinary qualification is desirable; however, we will consider previous catering experience too (2 years minimum)Food hygiene level 2 is desirable however can be obtained via our online e-learning portal.
