Job summary

Derbyshire Catering Service is recruiting a Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team. You will prepare food, cook meals and serve them to customers, while assisting with weighing up, stock taking, checking deliveries and cash reconciliation.

Applicants should have experience in a large production kitchen, a sound knowledge of health and safety, and a basic food hygiene certificate. The post may involve deputising for the Unit Supervisor and some light clerical work. Closing date: 11 October 2026.

Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Cook to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.

Duties will include the preparation of food and the cooking of meals, serving meals, assisting with weighing up, stocktaking, checking deliveries and cash reconciliation.

The post holder will also be required to deputise for the Unit Supervisor when they are absent which may involve some clerical work.

Qualifications & Experience

To apply you should have experience of working in a large production kitchen together with a sound knowledge of health and safety requirements and possess a basic food hygiene certificate.
