A leading council is looking for catering staff to support individuals with learning disabilities. The role requires team working, cooking duties, and the ability to manage tasks effectively within a kitchen environment. Candidates should have relevant experience and an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate, along with the physical capability to handle kitchen duties.
To cater for individuals with learning disabilities and dietary requirements.

General Duties
Experience of working in catering.
Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
Ability to co-ordinate and motivate others.
Ability to delegate tasks to others within team.
Self confidence
Self motivated
An understanding of hygienic practices.
Ability to record information accurately.
Articulate and confident in verbal communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative but to work as part of a team when required. Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
Awareness of potential hazards in a kitchen environment.
Physically fit and be able to move weights of between 15kg - 20kg e.g. sacks of vegetables, heavy pots in conjunction with manual handling procedures.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Starting Salary: £26224.12 (pro rata)
£13.63 per hour
18.5 hours of post (work 37 hours week 1 / zero hours week 2) - week on week off basis
