Cook in Charge – Penrhyncoch Primary School

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are seeking to recruit a Cook in Charge to join our catering team at Penrhyncoch Primary School on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for managing the school kitchen daily, according to standards set by Ceredigion County Council.

The role includes:

  1. Preparation and service of school dinners for pupils;
  2. Preparation of special diets for pupils as required;
  3. Ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Environmental Health standards;
  4. Adhering to EEC standards on Manual Handling;
  5. Maintaining general Health and Safety of the kitchen, including hazardous equipment and premises.

  • Experience or knowledge of working within a catering environment;
