Chef - £13.50 per hour

Working Hours: Cook needed to cover maternity leave, 2 days per week (14 hours), 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with additional hours available to cover annual leave.

We are looking for a Chef to join our team at Barton Scheme. You will work with a dedicated team committed to making a difference in the lives of our service users, delivering high standards of care and providing the same quality of service we would expect for our own families. Barton Scheme has an excellent reputation as a valued care provider, with residents' needs at the core of all we do.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking, and serving meals for residents and others, ensuring timely delivery.
• Catering to diverse dietary and cultural preferences.
• Catering for celebrations and events.
• Ordering supplies within budget and company guidelines, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
• Maintaining accurate catering records in line with HACCP standards.
• Participating in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen, adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
• Supporting a safe and healthy working environment, complying with Health & Safety regulations.
• Managing the Catering Team effectively.
