A maritime catering company is seeking a Cook for their ERRV/MRV fleet based in Aberdeen City. You will manage all catering stores, design menus, and ensure safety in the galley. Candidates must hold a Ships Cook CoC or equivalent and a valid Food Hygiene certificate. The role offers a competitive salary with a 4 weeks on/off rotation.

Job description

The Company currently has a vacancy for a Cook in its ERRV/MRV fleet.

Start date: 4th August 2025 - Permanent Contract - 4 weeks on / off rotation.

Candidates must hold a Ships Cook CoC or Ships Cook Part I and II, and a valid Food Hygiene certificate.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Manage the ordering, storage, and use of all catering stores within budget limits.
• Check catering stores upon delivery, and inform the Master of any missing or wrongly delivered stores.
• Monitor all freezer and chill areas.
• Design menus and prepare all food for the crew.
• Ensure safety in the galley and other catering areas.
• Report defects in the galley, fridges, freezers, and food store areas to the Chief Engineer.
• Be familiar with all fire fighting appliances, power cut switches, and safety devices in catering areas.
• Assist on deck during emergency exercises and situations involving the launching or recovery of Fast Rescue Crafts.
