Job Description

Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing record updated before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council.

Note: PVG records are continuously updated. Any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

This is a temporary part-time position based at Nether Robertland Primary School, Stewarton.

The working hours are 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 2:30 pm (including a 15-minute unpaid break).

The salary ranges from £20,856 to £21,731 per annum.

The position is temporary until 30th April 2026 and is term-time only.
