Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Cook/Chef Assistant for Strathallan School in Forgandenny, Perth. You will work in a fast-paced catering environment delivering high standards of food service and customer care.

Role requires 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, and a PVG check will be conducted. Free meals on shift and on-site parking are provided, with training given for all duties.

• Follow all food safety, health and safety and company procedures.
• Support hospitality functions and school events, including occasional evenings and weekends.

• Salary: £13.50 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7
• Shift Times: Earliest start 6:00am, latest finish 7:30pm. Occasional hospitality events may require a finish up to 9:00pm.
• Free parking, free meals whilst on shift, time off over Christmas.

No previous experience needed as full training would be given.

Will be required to undergo an Enhanced PVG check.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help provide an exceptional dining experience for pupils, staff, and visitors while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and present food to the required standards.

• Clear and clean service areas following meal periods.
• Assist with stock control, deliveries, and the safe storage of food, including allergen management and stock rotation.
• Ensure all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures are followed.
• Support hospitality functions and school events, including occasional evening and weekend work.
• Report any incidents, accidents, near misses, food safety concerns, or equipment issues promptly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and professional working environment.
