Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook/Chef to join our team working at Albemarle Barracks, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, NE15 0RF.
You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

- This is a full-time position,35 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 including some weekend shifts. Shifts range between 7am and 8.30pm, occasionally later for functions.
- The hourly rate is £13.52.

A day in the life of a Cook/Chef:
- Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services ensuring minimal wastage. Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Relevant culinary qualification or experience
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- A confident chef.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
- Must have their own transport due to the site being remote with limited transport links.
