Cook/Chef – 40 hours per week, Parkland House, Exeter

Are you a passionate cook who loves preparing nutritious and delicious meals? We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Parkland. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to our residents in a warm and friendly environment.

A bit about the role:

Our lovely residents deserve the very best and that includes tasty, nutritious, and comforting meals made with care.

  1. Plan, prepare, and cook balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs.
  2. Ensure meals are presented well and served on time.
  3. Follow food safety, hygiene, and nutritional guidelines.
  4. Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen.
  5. Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure residents’ needs are met.

What we’re looking for:

  1. An experienced, passionate Cook.
  2. Knowledge of food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals) – or a willingness to learn.
  3. Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  4. A caring and compassionate attitude.
  5. Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  6. A warm, friendly personality and a good sense of humor – it helps in a busy kitchen!
