Position Summary

We are seeking a ‘first class’ Cook Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have culinary and management experience, overseeing kitchen functions such as ordering supplies, food preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, cleanliness, and supervising staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Support meal and snack preparation and serving, accommodating residents’ dietary needs.
  2. Manage stock and order supplies.
  3. Plan menus.
  4. Maintain food safety checks and records.
  5. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  6. Follow health and safety guidelines.
  7. Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and food service areas.
  8. Collaborate with Activities Team for special events.
  9. Supervise staff performance and complete employee reviews.
  10. Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
  11. Qualifications in catering and food safety/hygiene are required.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  13. Strong team player with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  14. Effective time management.

  • Participate in staff meetings.
