A public service authority in Broxburn is seeking a Catering Assistant to support food service in schools and adult care units. The role involves cooking, baking, and managing stock levels, alongside staff supervision when required. Candidates must be prepared to join the PVG Scheme given the nature of work with vulnerable groups. This part-time position comprises 20 hours per week across 38 weeks per year with a pro rata salary.

Monday - Thursday 8am - 2.15pm.

To assist the supervisor in providing Catering services throughout the authority in schools, or working alone in adult day care and housing with care units. This will include directing staff in the absence of the supervisor, assisting with cooking, baking, serving, and managing stock levels.

From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
