We are seeking a skilled individual to support our Catering Team at our residential care home for older people in Preston. This role is perfect for someone with experience as a cook, either looking to support the Catering Manager or advance as a kitchen assistant.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and serve nutritionally balanced and appealing meals, considering residents' preferences and dietary needs.
  • Follow food hygiene regulations and maintain proper food safety temperatures.
  • Keep the kitchen and food storage areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain all relevant records during your shift.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and undertake tasks to provide excellent resident care.

We provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

About You:
  • You enjoy working with older people and demonstrate empathy.
  • You have a passion for cooking and can prepare meals to a good standard.
  • A basic food hygiene certificate and relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential if you have sufficient cooking experience.
