About The Role

Working Days: Hours will be 13.00 to 17.00pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend cover attracting an enhanced rate of pay on a mutual basis to cover holiday needs.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The preparation, cooking, presentation, and service of meals to the highest standards.
  • Providing food that complies with national nutritional policies and food hygiene standards.
  • Ensuring timely plating and delivery to patient areas.
  • Contributing to the implementation of service developments, such as new menus and production systems.
  • Submitting requisitions for additional food stores depending on demand.

The Ideal Candidate Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • Qualified Cook to City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 standard and Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience across a broad range of cooking methods, recipe formulation, and service requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HACCP & COSHH acquired over time with training.
  • Understanding of Fire Safety as applied in the kitchen setting.
  • Allergen qualification/training.
