Location: Gretna Primary School

Salary: £17,528.01 - £18,610.49

You will be required to work 28 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Monday to Friday 8:15am – 1:51pm

This position involves taking charge of a large school kitchen, with guidance and support from your line manager.

Requirements: Catering Manager or supervisory experience, cooking skills/experience.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing Early Years and School Meals to children and young people
  2. Managing the kitchen budget
  3. Responsible for H.A.S.A.W. and Cooksafe
  4. Allergen Awareness
  5. Organising the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  6. Working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  7. Approaching problem management with ease
  8. Handling complaints
  9. Following Council processes and procedures
  10. Cash handling
  11. Use of technology
  12. Customer awareness
  13. Being aware of current food trends and customer preferences

This post is considered regulated work with vulnerable children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates will need to join or update the PVG Scheme before employment.
