Noblehill Primary School

Salary: £4,765.17 - £4,787.23

Working hours: 8.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:15 pm - 1:57 pm

Facilities Services (Catering) are seeking a Cook 1 (General Catering Assistant) to work as part of a team in a busy school kitchen at Noblehill Primary School. The role involves carrying out general catering tasks related to school meal delivery.

The ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic, performing tasks such as:

  • Light food preparation
  • Serving meals
  • Setting up and decanting the dining area
  • Setting up the service area
  • Cash handling (when required)
  • Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
  • Clearing and cleaning kitchens and staff areas
  • Completing electronic paperwork

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided, including Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness training.

This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before employment is confirmed.

Applicants who have resided outside the UK within the last 5 years may need to provide a police record check from the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
