Job Title: Cook 1 (Fixed Term)

Location: Loreburn Primary School, George Street, DG1 1EA

Salary: £10,511.39 - £10,560.07 per year

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Working Times: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 1:45pm

Role Overview

Facilities Services (Catering) are seeking a Cook 1 (General Catering Assistant) to lead the servery kitchen at Loreburn Primary School and perform general catering tasks related to school meal delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Light food preparation
  • Serving meals
  • Setting up and decanting the dining room
  • Preparing the service area
  • Cash handling as required
  • Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
  • Clearing down and cleaning kitchens and staff rest areas
  • Completing electronic paperwork

Experience is not necessary; full training, including Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness, will be provided.

Additional Information

This position is considered regulated work with vulnerable children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check prior to employment. Candidates with recent residence outside the UK will need to provide police clearance from the relevant authorities.
