Do you have a passion for food? The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes all over England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to be a part of it.

Hours: 1950 hours over a year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the hours may vary each month, but your salary will be paid in 12 equal installments over the year.
Typical shift times are 8:30 am to around 4:30 pm, with flexible days of the week and some weekend work involved.
Salary: £12.75 an hour
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 1 May 2026
Interview date: Thursday 8th or Saturday 10th May

As a Cook, your focus will be in the kitchen, helping to prepare and present delicious food from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Your food will be served directly to visitors.
Using the framework of our National Trust Cookbook, you'll prepare, measure, and mix ingredients. You'll assist with deliveries and maintaining kitchen cleanliness to comply with health and safety legislation and ensure smooth service.
We will provide you with an induction tailored to the role, training in allergens and food safety, and mentoring as needed. You can also sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
