Cook

Location: Leatherhead

Salary: From GBP13.50 per hour DOE

Hours: 42.5 per week, 9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday

Duties of a Cook :

• Baking a variety of cakes, tray bakes, and pastries set to recipes.
• Preparation of pasta dishes, salads, and seasonal soups, among other menu items.
• Consistently producing quality food in line with food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; report safety or maintenance issues.
• Have strong knowledge of allergies and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Adhere to COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist other kitchen staff with food prep, cleaning, and dishwashing as needed.

Supervisory aspects of a Cook :

• Support management by promoting safe food handling practices.
• Assist in stock control and ensuring food quality.
• Identify staff training needs and support training delivery.
• Help coordinate daily routines with the Duty Manager.

The ideal candidate :

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens.
• Understanding of the client and their cuisine.
