Job description

Cook Position at Heng Fung Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced cook to join our team.

We are looking for someone who:

1. Has 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a Chinese kitchen.
2. Has some knowledge about Cantonese cuisine and Szechuan.
3. Is able to communicate with team members and chef.
4. Is able to follow all sanitation procedures and is in excellent physical condition.
5. Assists in preparing and cooking various dishes based on guest orders.
6. Manages food expenses, kitchen stock, energy usage, and cooking tools.
7. Creates and garnishes dishes as they’re ordered, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
8. Handles special requests from guests.
9. Keeps track of inventory daily and places orders when necessary.
10. Clears workstation and kitchen area after each work period.

Compensation: $16 per hour

Work hours:

1. Day shift
2. Holidays
3. Night shift
4. Weekend availability

Language: Basic English oral communication ability is needed.
