Job description

Social network you want to login/join with:

Trinity Hospice is a thriving independent charity based in the Fylde coast providing specialist palliative care for adults with advanced life-limiting illnesses and their families, as well as being the local provider of specialist palliative care for children via Brian House children’s hospice.

Working in a busy hospice environment, the role will support the effective running of our Catering service. We work over a 7 day rota, including weekends. Our Cooks provide a high standard of catering to patients, staff, volunteers and visitors to the hospice. Duties will include preparing food and presenting and delivering food items around the hospice as required, whilst ensuring the food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean.

What you need:

We are looking for a Cook with experience of working within a catering environment, ideally with experience in a clinical or care home setting. The post holder should also have a good knowledge of special dietary requirements.

You must be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Flexibility, high personal standards and a commitment to the vision and values of Trinity Hospice are essential.

The successful candidate will be joining an established team, and an organisation which is highly rated by the people who work there.

  • 38 days annual leave each year, pro rata (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
  • Free car parking on site
