About the Role

Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Cook at our Callieburn Court development in Bishopbriggs. The position is based on 16 hours per week working 9.30 to 17.30 with 1 hour lunch working 2 days over 7 days. Every 3rd Weekend off.

You will be cooking and preparing healthy and nutritional meals for our customers as well as cakes and bakes for customers.

Maintaining kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.

Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on getting produce from local suppliers.

This role is development based, preparing, and serving nutritious meals for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans. I.e. Soft diet, diabetes, allergies etc.

About You

Essential

  • To join us you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to emphasise with vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.
  • Basis IT skills.
  • Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.

Desirable

  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
  • A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
  • Ideally, one year's experience in a similar / equivalent role.
