Job summary

Impact Food Group is recruiting a Chef/Cook for St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am–2.30pm, 30 hours per week, during term time (37 weeks a year). Salary is £16,605 per annum.

You will help prepare meals, cook from fresh ingredients for a high-volume service and support in service and till duties. The ideal candidate has solid kitchen experience, a passion for quality school meals, and a strong focus on hygiene and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment, but not essential.
• A passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards.
