We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that supports others.

Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family is made easier with our suite of enhanced family-friendly policies, and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, providing cashback for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, offering invaluable support when you need it most.

But we also know that your training and development are important to you. As well as contributing to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow, and develop in ways that suit you.

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our team, preparing freshly made meals for residents in our care home. This role allows your cooking skills to make a real difference by providing nourishing, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared food.

You’ll plan and prepare a variety of meals and snacks, catering to different dietary needs and personal preferences. We encourage home-style cooking with plenty of fresh ingredients, and where possible, we support service users to get involved in food preparation. You’ll also be responsible for ordering supplies, managing food stocks, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-run kitchen in line with health and hygiene regulations.

We’re seeking someone with previous catering experience, ideally with a Food Hygiene Certificate. If you do not have one yet, we’ll help you gain it. What matters most is that you’re organised, dependable, and take pride in your work. Good communication and a friendly approach are essential, as you will work closely with our care team. You also need to be respectful of CrossReach’s Christian ethos.

In return, we offer a supportive working environment where your work is valued daily. You’ll have access to training and development opportunities, staff benefits including a pension scheme and employee assistance programme, and the chance to be part of a service that puts people first.

Apply now and bring your skills to a role focused on care, community, and good food.
