CrossReach is seeking a Cook for a care home in Scotland. You will prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that support residents' health and enjoyment, reflecting dietary needs and cultural preferences. Good food plays an important part in daily life. As a Cook in our care home, you'll prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that help residents stay healthy, feel valued and enjoy mealtimes that are often the highlight of their day.
Working as part of a friendly team, you'll help create menus that reflect residents' preferences while ensuring meals meet a range of dietary and nutritional requirements.
You will have experience working in a professional kitchen and be confident preparing meals for larger groups. You'll understand the importance of nutrition and be able to cater for a range of dietary requirements. A Food Hygiene qualification is essential and a relevant catering qualification would be advantageous. Most importantly, you'll take pride in your work and understand that good food can make a real difference to someone's day.
