We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. We currently operate Thursday through Sunday with a prep day on Wednesday with a view to expanding). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a commitment to delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while helping to create delicious meals that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes based on seasonal ingredients.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
