Job summary

SF Partners in the West Midlands is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join a fast-growing logistics business. You will work closely with the CEO to bring structure, discipline, controls and accountability across the operation while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that has driven success.

The role requires turning strategic objectives into practical delivery, implementing KPIs, and leading change programmes from concept to embedded practice.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in logistics, freight or supply chain.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance.
• Experience implementing KPIs and performance-management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take overall leadership of the operational function and support the CEO in delivering the growth strategy.
• Review the operating model and identify opportunities to improve structure, processes, controls and accountability.
• Introduce and embed meaningful operational KPIs and management information across the business.
• Establish clear performance expectations and ensure managers and teams are accountable for delivery.
• Drive operational efficiency, consistency and continuous improvement.
• Develop scalable processes and infrastructure to support next growth phase.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Provide strong leadership to operational teams and raise management capability.
