MotionTech designs and builds conveyor systems in the UK, seeking a Mechanical Fitter to assemble systems in the workshop. You will work from models, drawings and build instructions to ensure correct fit, alignment and safe operation.

Join a relaxed workshop with clear expectations, reporting to the Workshop Foreman. The role is permanent and on-site in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, with a Friday finish at midday.

Competenze

• Hands-on background in mechanical fitting, assembly, fabrication or similar environment.
• Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, models or instructions.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic measurement tools.

Mansioni

• Assemble conveyor frames, rollers, guards and drive units to models and drawings.
• Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, fix and adjust parts.
• Check builds for fit, alignment and finish prior to handover.
• Flag missing or faulty parts to the foreman early.
• Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment.
• Support other workshop tasks when priorities change.
