The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded Legal 500 boutique law firm based in Oldham is looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy and successful Property team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal assistant or paralegal to join a firm known for its friendly, professional environment and long-standing reputation in the North West property market. You\'ll be supporting a team of experienced conveyancers on a broad range of residential transactions from instruction through to post-completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting fee earners in handling a caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new build matters.
• Preparing and drafting legal documents and client correspondence.
• Conducting searches, dealing with Land Registry applications, and completing SDLT forms.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
• Opening and closing files, managing case documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth progression of files.

About You

• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a residential conveyancing support role.
• Solid understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
