Conveyancing Manager
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: Up to £55,000 per year + Bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based (Monday to Friday)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years PQE in Residential Conveyancing
Qualifications: SRA / CLC / CILEX
About the Role
A specialist law firm in Worcester is seeking an experienced Conveyancer or Qualified Solicitor to lead its residential property team. This is a senior position focused on both legal work and operational leadership, with potential progression to Director level.
The firm is known for its professional yet down-to-earth approach, and it maintains a strong emphasis on quality over quantity. Caseloads are capped to ensure high standards and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Operational Leadership
- Manage day-to-day operations of the conveyancing department
- Supervise, mentor, and support a small team (both in-office and remote)
- Streamline internal systems and workflows
- Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture
- Approve legal files and ensure regulatory compliance
- Identify and manage risks, escalating issues when necessary
Legal Work & Compliance
- Handle residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion
- Draft and review sale and purchase documents
- Conduct due diligence, including title checks and property searches
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Ensure all files are legally compliant and transactions are fully documented
Financial & Post-Completion
- Prepare financial statements and handle completion funds
- Coordinate with lenders, including government-backed schemes
- Submit SDLT returns, manage Land Registry filings, and close files
Candidate Requirements

Essential:
- At least 5 years' experience running a residential conveyancing caseload
- Expertise in freehold, leasehold, new build, and shared ownership transactions
- Confident leading a team and managing compliance
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work full-time in office to lead the team and develop others
