Overview

Conveyancing Legal Secretary
Location: Banbury
Salary: c £25,000 to £26,000 per annum
Full time (35 hours per week) or part time with hours to suit

This is a very well-established law practice with a growing office network, including two acquisitions in the past four years. The conveyancing team is led by a senior solicitor with over 20 years of experience and includes solicitors, paralegals and support staff. The firm holds Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and Lexcel accreditation and is recognised by the Legal 500.

What’s involved?
  • Supporting a busy Conveyancing team with audio typing and administrative/secretarial duties
  • Typing of legal documents and correspondence
  • Scanning post and allocating to fee earners electronically
  • Assisting in maintaining client files
  • Providing Conveyancing quotes and progressing files through to post-completion
  • File closing and archiving
  • Dealing with client enquiries and queries over the telephone and in person
  • Providing updates to clients and estate agents
  • Updating files on a legal case management system
Who we’re looking for
  • Conveyancing experience
  • Experience of working for an SRA-regulated law firm
  • Experience of using a legal case management system
  • Good audio and copy typing skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

This is a permanent, fully office-based role offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. Core hours are 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week). If you are applying for part-time hours, please state the hours required in your application.
