Overview

Our client, a highly reputable law firm based in County Antrim, is seeking to recruit an experienced Property / Conveyancing assistant to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong legal secretarial experience to work within a professional and supportive environment.

While the ideal candidate will be an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary / PA, our client will also consider applications from Paralegals with previous conveyancing experience. This position also offers clear scope for career progression within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive PA and secretarial support to the Conveyancing team.
  • Preparing, typing, and processing correspondence and legal documentation (audio and copy typing via digital dictation).
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files (both paper and electronic).
  • Managing filing, archiving, photocopying, and scanning of documents.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls in a professional manner.
  • Liaising with clients via telephone and email, ensuring a high standard of client care.
  • Diary management for Partners, including scheduling meetings, conference calls, and seminars.
  • Travel co-ordination, including transport and accommodation arrangements.
  • Supporting other team members and providing ad-hoc administrative assistance as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous conveyancing experience (essential).
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational ability with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work on own initiative.
  • Professional, flexible, and adaptable approach with a strong team ethic.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
