Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant
Location: Kettering (Hybrid or Office-Based)

An established and reputable conveyancing firm in Kettering is currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their busy and successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in conveyancing support who is looking to join a forward-thinking and supportive firm.

About the Role:

As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners with the smooth running of residential property transactions. This position would suit a highly organised and motivated individual with a proactive approach and a genuine interest in conveyancing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in handling a varied caseload of residential conveyancing files under supervision.

  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently.

  • Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

  • Carry out searches, Land Registry applications, ID checks and other administrative tasks.

  • Provide high levels of customer service and regular updates to clients.

  • Use the case management system to manage workflows and documentation effectively.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a conveyancing legal support role.

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

  • Sound understanding of residential property transactions and legal processes.
