The Opportunity:

We have a new opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our supportive Residential Conveyancing team, based at our Diss office. This role provides administrative support to the team. This growing department works in a fast-paced environment, and they are looking for individuals who relish the challenge that this brings.

The Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will have previous similar experience.
  • We are looking for someone with great time management, IT and communication skills, who is an accurate typist (including dictations) and someone who appreciates the importance of attention to detail.
  • The ideal candidate will enjoy a busy environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The Role:

As a Conveyancing Assistant, this role plays a key role in supporting the fee earners with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion. Some responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with opening new files and carrying out initial documentation and ID checks.
  • Drafting and preparing correspondence and legal documents.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors.
  • Submitting searches, such as drainage, environmental, bankruptcy searches.
  • Closing files.
  • Managing administrative duties, such as file management, diary management, data entry and scanning.
  • Supporting the conveyancer in ensuring smooth progression of transactions.

Residential Conveyancing:

The Residential Conveyancing team are approachable, personal, professional and efficient individuals that guide and support clients through buying and selling property, equity release, remortgaging a property, transfer of equity and voluntary first registration of land.
