Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join their Embedded Systems Solutions team at the customer site in Peterborough. The engineer will focus on the design, development, calibration, and integration of engine control systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

Required skills include a technical degree in engineering, a strong understanding of control theory, and experience with calibration tools. The position offers various benefits, including a health plan and contributions to a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of control theory, embedded systems and engine/automation principles.
• Proven experience delivering electronic systems and software for complex products.
• Experience with CAN/Ethernet and calibration tools (CANape, CANalyzer/CANoe).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, calibrate and integrate engine control systems.
• Solicit and formalize system and interface requirements for products.
• Define system architectures, I/O specifications and controller interfaces.
• Contribute to FMEA, functional safety and product compliance reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve issues during development and post-production.
• Integrate control systems with engine hardware, sensors and actuators.
