Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Controls Service Engineer for an OEM supplying packaging machinery. The role is home-based with frequent travel across the NW, Yorkshire and Midlands, and occasional Europe visits.

You will lead service, installation and training, with opportunities to work on Allen Bradley PLCs and provide remote as well as on-site support. The position offers a base salary of 50–60K with an OTE of 70K+, a company vehicle, and 25 days of holiday plus statutory holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering service, installation and training for packaging machinery.
• Strong customer-facing skills and problem solving.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues remotely or on-site when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and software support on customer sites and coordinate with Controls department.
• Upload, interrogate and modify Allen Bradley PLCs for machines.
• Provide outstanding service during site visits and training for maintenance staff.
• Train maintenance personnel and operators on safe use and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and assist customers with repairs and setup via phone or remote tools.
• Explain repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to plant personnel.

I am recruiting a Controls Service Engineer for an an OEM that supply case erectors, tray erectors, case packers, lid applicators, palletising and robotics.

Based from home.

They have a lot of work around the NW, Yorkshire, Midlands so not a lot of overnight stays

99% UK, 1% Europe – Germany, France, Spain

The Role

As a Service Controls Engineer, you are responsible for providing service, installation and training expertise for packaging machinery

.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead for technical and software support on customer sites including liaison with the Controls department.
• Ability to upload, Interrogate and Modifiy Allen Bradley PLC's
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service and support during site visits.
• Training of maintenance personnel and operators on the safe use and proper maintenance of the OEM equipment.
• Ability to accurately troubleshoot and assist customers on machinery repair and setup procedures over the telephone or the web using remote support tools.
• Ability to accurately define and explain repairs made, and proper maintenance and operational procedures to plant personnel.
