Job description

Our client is a leading provider of generator solutions, dedicated to delivering top-quality power products and services to their clients. They are now looking for a Controls Sales Engineer to join their team to support the growth of the business. The role is open to candidates in any location within the UK. Successful candidates will be responsible for researching and creating opportunities within the Control Panels/PLC System/Fuel Control Systems market, including BMS/PMS/SCADA and automation process controls.

Controls Sales Engineer Job Overview
  1. Conduct market research to identify new potential markets.
  2. Schedule customer visits, promote the company, and generate interest in the services offered.
  3. Prepare quotations for new and existing business opportunities.
  4. Provide weekly reports on customer visits.
  5. Provide monthly quotation reports with forecasts of expected orders.
  6. Collaborate with the team to enhance marketing efforts and improve company services across various market sectors.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the full sales lifecycle.
  • Experience in winning new business and developing key accounts in the Power Generation market, ideally with Diesel Generators and related systems.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills when engaging face-to-face with clients.
  • Willing to travel across the UK as required.
  • Willing to travel to the Colchester Branch once a month.
  • Hold a full driving license.
Salary & Benefits
  • Expected hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Holiday entitlement: 22 days plus 8 bank holidays paid. Holiday increases by 1 day per year after the first year, up to a maximum of 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
