Job description

Controls / PLC Engineer required. Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of production line equipment, based in the Brierley Hill area. Due to ongoing success and growth, they are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

1. Specifying PLCs, software, and related technology for outdated equipment.
2. Modifying standard control panels to meet customer requirements.
3. Providing technical advice for equipment and processing issues.
4. Configuring HMIs.
5. Implementing PLC-based solutions for control upgrades.
6. Traveling to customer sites for commissioning and service, both in the UK and overseas.

Requirements:

• Strong background in control systems and electrical engineering/wiring.
• Experience with ladder logic programming.
• Understanding of SCADA software and PLC controls such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Proface.
• Willingness to travel, including overseas.
• Located within a commutable distance of Brierley Hill.

Additional Details:

• Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
