Job summary
Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a skilled Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Wolverhampton. The role focuses on maintaining, improving and developing control and instrumentation systems across operations, with a strong emphasis on reliability and continuous improvement.
The position offers a salary of £45,000–£50,000 per year, a Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:00pm schedule, and excellent benefits including enhanced pension, private medical insurance and life assurance (6x annual
Qualifications
- Experience in a Controls & Instrumentation, Electrical, or Automation Engineering role.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DCS, instrumentation, control systems and industrial processes.
- Willingness to pursue further electrical qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and troubleshooting control and instrumentation systems.
- Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions.
- Assisting with automation, DCS, PLC, and process control improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Supporting project work and system upgrades as required.
