Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

The ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with experience working with Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful and expanding organization. Due to continued planned growth, they now require an additional controls engineer. The main purpose of this position will be to program Siemens S7 PLCs. The scope of this role will also include:

1. Designing & programming PLC software
2. Reviewing project files and confirming Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls scope
3. Development of P&ID's
4. Preparation of Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD), and MCC data sheets
5. Review of vendor quotes
6. Production of wiring schematics and connection diagrams
7. Preparation of BOMs
8. Preparing the PLC/DCS I/O lists

The PERSON
The right candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual who wants to develop their career further within this progressive organization:

1. Experience of programming Siemens S7 PLCs
2. Well-educated in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
3. Experienced in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
4. Controls knowledge
5. Competent in LV electrical circuit design and panel design
6. Conversant with P&IDs
7. Proficient in AutoCAD

Salary: Depending on Experience
