Job summary

A leading engineering services company is looking for a Controls & Instrumentation Consultant to provide technical input on multidiscipline projects across Low Carbon, Oil & Gas, and Refinery sectors. The ideal candidate will have significant experience, preferably in offshore applications, and will contribute to feasibility studies and other critical deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Greater than 10 years of experience in Energy/Oil/Gas/Petrochem sector.
  • Experience of offshore C&I applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing C&I technical input to client projects across various sectors.
  • Delivering studies and preparing clear, concise reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing discipline technical deliverables.

Controls & Instrumentation Consultant - Outside IR35

Controls & Instrumentation Consultant - Outside IR35 Scope of Work:

  • C&I Engineer on a number of multidiscipline client projects, providing C&I technical input to concept, pre-FEED and FEED level projects across Low Carbon, Oil & Gas and Refinery sectors.
  • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Chartered engineer preferred
  • Broad control and instrument experience essential, with a preference for some additional electrical experience
  • Experience of offshore C&I applications preferred
  • Greater than 10 years of experience Energy / Oil / Gas / Petrochem sector
  • Experience in feasibility or concept selection studies, covering greenfield and brownfield scopes
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of relevant industry codes and standards
  • Ability to prepare and review technical documentation and provide EC&I input to cost estimates and multidiscipline reports

Deliverables:

As advised by lead engineer / engineering manager, including:

  • Delivering studies and preparing clear, concise reports against time, cost, and quality objectives
  • Preparing and reviewing discipline technical deliverables including; System Architecture, Instrument Block Diagrams, Instrument Schedules, Instrument Layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Load Lists and Material Take-offs.
  • Prepare technical presentations

  • Next steps after the interview process

    Following the completion of the interview process, you should expect to hear from our Talent team typically within a week.

    If you’ve been successful, we’ll reach out to you with an offer.

    Upon acceptance, we’ll agree on a start date and begin the onboarding process through our People & Culture team – who will help with making your onboarding process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
