Job summary

TechnipFMC is hiring a Controls Installation Engineer II for Dunfermline with hybrid offshore/onshore duties. You will split time between the office and field, installing and testing equipment, supporting post-manufacture services, and drafting technical docs.

You will perform field installations, troubleshoot systems, review ECN/DBI docs, and provide onshore/offshore support. Strong English, safety focus, and SAP timekeeping are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the field supporting topsides and controls equipment installation and troubleshooting.
• Customer-oriented attitude and ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to identify and make recommendations for system improvements.
• Advanced analytical and problem solving, proactively preventing issues.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
• Ability to establish deadlines and manage priorities for self.
• Negotiations related to multi-project or organizational impact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential to teach others.
• Ability to prepare and deliver proposals and reports to any audience.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC and pass DOT physicals for offshore work.

Responsibilities

• Proactively participates in HSE initiatives, JSAs and risk assessments.
• Uses sound judgment, safe work practices, and delivers high quality work on-time.
• Prepares and presents technical data to internal and external customers.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic/electrical systems with field schematics.
• Reviews ECN, DBI and engineering specifications/requirements.
• Participates in design reviews and consults with other departments on field applications.
• Provides technical support for onshore and offshore operations.
• Creates and reviews technical instructions for refurbishment and installations following quality requirements.
• Enters engineering hours properly in SAP.
• Has expert knowledge about safety aspects for TechnipFMC equipment onsite and offshore.
• Leads group meetings and identifies new technologies and development opportunities.
• Familiar with industry code requirements, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Uses CAD and database systems to generate layouts and analyze designs.
