Job summary

NBCUniversal is hiring for a technical role at Universal United Kingdom Resort to support ride and show systems from design through commissioning. You will coordinate with vendors, translate creative goals into technical specs, and contribute to safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, strong engineering and drafting skills, and experience with design review, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing or manage vendors through bidding, design, fabrication, testing, shipping, installation, start up, and commissioning of ride or show control systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and vendor management through day to day design, fabrication, installation, test & adjust and commissioning activities.
  • Translate creative intent and business goals into technical documents to acquire bids and lock in price and schedule for delivery of systems.
  • Perform engineering technical support (calculation, design, drafting, research) for the Ride/Show project team and/or Engineering and Safety.
  • Review vendor-provided design review documents, including drawings, component selection, calculations, test plans and results.
  • Develop and edit test protocols, procedures, and plans; witness or approve testing as assigned by management.
  • Participate in EH&S responsibilities in line with policy and training.
