Controls Engineer (Progression to Management) £52,000 - £55,000 + 34 Days Holiday + Car/Car Allowance + Laptop + Phone Nottingham

Are you a Controls Engineer looking to take the next step in your career and progress into a managerial role, with plenty of autonomy, responsibility, and recognition as the go-to controls specialist in the business?

Are you looking for a highly varied and technically challenging role, working on a range of automation and robotics, in a hands-on managerial role?

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing and nationally recognized company where you will be designing control panels, conducting testing and assembly for a range of special purpose machinery. You will be directing and assisting a team of 8 engineers, managing their workload and timelines.

Founded nearly 50 years ago, this company designs, manufactures, supplies, and installs a range of automation and robotic machinery across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, military, and nuclear. They pride themselves on their reputation for reliable machinery, coupled with excellent retention rates due to internal promotions.

This role would suit an Electrical Controls Engineer with PLC experience looking for a senior, managerial position in a company that values its employees, where you can make a long-term impact.

The Role

• Control panel design, testing, and assembly
• Working on Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLCs
• Split between hands-on work and managing a team of 8 engineers
• Monday to Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm, early finish on Fridays, 37.5 hours a week
